Inside the park there are about 26000 people living
there. It is the third national park most visited from England and Gales. And
almost 62% of the inhabitants can speak at least some Welsh.
Beddgelert is a quiet and small village in the county
of Carnarvon where the tourists can enjoy the beautiful views but it´s not at
all they can also learn about several aspects of the history of Snowdonia: the
Princes of Gwynedd, Castles, Translating the Bible into Welsh, Witches and
Witchcraft, the slate industry and Plas Tan y Bwlch, and the drowning of the
Cwm Celyn Valley. Small and friendly, it boasts a full range of amenities,
which include quality hotels, great guest houses, B&B's and self-catering
accommodation, camp sites, hostels, bunk houses, shops and numerous other
attractions. There's
a long tradition of hospitality in these parts - after all, Beddgelert has been
welcoming visitors for hundreds of years. Also we have a World famous outdoors
outlet, the home of 'Gelert' outdoor products, which are sold worldwide.
